CPG on Race Equality meeting, 13 June 2012, Edinburgh

The Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Racial Equality in Scotland will hold its next meeting on

Date: 13th June 2012

Times: 4.30- 5.30pm & 5.50-8.00pm

Venue: Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh

 

The meeting will be held in two sessions:

4.30pm – 5.30pm:            Optional session  for non-parliamentary members only; this session will look at the legislative process and the different stages at which groups can impact it. The session is intended to help build capacity within the CPG for lobbying / influencing decision makers. It is optional, so members wishing to just attend the later meeting are welcome to do so.

5.30pm – 5.50pm:            Refreshments

5.50pm:                                CPG meeting: Guest speakers Keith Wimbles and Patrick Mbullu from the Voluntary Action Fund have kindly agreed to come to the CPG meeting to update us on the race equality work being funded through new Scottish Government Equality Unit funding stream, which VAF are managing; timing will depend on how many extra agenda items we receive but it will run no later than 8pm.
