Show Racism the Red Card: Free training “Tackling Racism and promoting race equality for youth and community workers”, 20 March 2012, Glasgow

Show Racism the Red Card training to raise awareness of issues of racism and its impact on young people, examine how race equality can be promoted, empower delegates to challenge racism and respond to racist incidents, and equip delegates with knowledge and resources to educate young people against racism.

Aims of this free training:

– Raise awareness of issues of racism and the impact on young people

– Examine how race equality can be promoted through the programmes of work you deliver

– Empower delegates to challenge racism and respond to racist incidents

– Equip delegates with knowledge and resources to educate young people against racism

Outcomes:

– Develop programmes of citizenship education by providing knowledge and accessible resources

– Meet legal race equality obligations under the new Equality Act 2010

– Promote equality and tackle discrimination
