Refugee Survival Trust: Launch of animation film about destitution in the asylum system, 29 Feb 2012, Edinburgh

The Refugee Survival Trust (RST) will screen their brand new animation film about destitution in the asylum system.

Date: 29th February 2012

Time: 6.30pm

Venue: Iglu Restaurant, 2b Jamaica Street, Edinburgh

The animation has been created for RST by Show them Pictures. It illustrates the errors and delays in the asylum system which leave many people hungry and homeless. Colourful figures attempt to make their way through the asylum system, narrated by Scottish novelist and comedian A L Kennedy.

Come and join the RST team to view the 3 minute film and chat about RST’s work over a glass of wine or juice.  A Zimbabwean asylum seeker will also give a first hand account of destitution.

The event is FREE but space is limited so please reserve a place by emailing Alistair at communications[at]rst.org.uk or phone the office on 0131 243 2660.

If you can’t make it to the event, the animation will be available to view at www.rst.org.uk after February 29th.
