Trust Housing Association seeks participants / workers for its Memories Project – Immigration Stories in Scotland

Trust Housing Association are to publish a book with stories of the generation of people from ethnic minorities who arrived in Scotland in the 1940s, 50s and early 60s. They would like to hear from any individuals at the grass roots level who have a great story to tell and how they faced up to and overcame economic hardship, prejudice, and the language barrier to build new lives for themselves and their families.

They would also like to hear from individuals (bilingual) who would be interested in working for the project. They will be asked to carry out the initial visit and write up the story of the individuals who have a story to tell. Hours are not fixed and they will be paid an hourly rate with travel expenses. Training will be provided.
