Short video: Scottish Voices speak out on UKBA Settlement and Family Migration Consultations”

This summer, two major UKBA consultations – on settlement rights of non-EU migrants (launched 9 June 2011) and family migration to the UK (launched 13 July 2011) – are taking place.

Migrants, migrant community organisations, trade unions and leading academics from across Scotland have much to say on the immigration policy changes currently proposed by the UK Government.

This short film gathers their voices, all sending the same message to the government: NO to the changes in immigration rules as set out in the consultation papers!

Find out more and add your voice on our CONSULTATION PAGE.

The film is a joint initiative by Migrants’ Rights Scotland and the Scottish Trade Union Congress.

Longer versions of individual interviews and more Scottish voices will be published shortly on our new YouTube Channel.
